My jihn deere is iver 10 years old . Tired of repairing it. Need a new riding mower that is stable in hills, handles rough terrain, cuts tall grass and requires minimal maintenance. Any suggestions? 5 acres.... Hilly and uneven areas.

For 5 acres, I would consider a commercial zero turn. Not sure what your budget is, but if you buy the right one it should be the last mower you ever need. Parts of my yard are rough, uneven, steep and sloped - I tried out numerous zero turns until I found the right one. For me it was the Kubota ZD 331. Its not cheap but I think its the best ZTR out there. PS - it can cut thick tall grass down to 3" without bogging down even up steeper hills.
