Colby, Here are a few pics for you. I burned a large tract today and took a few pics. Only saw one snake, a wounded wood cock, and some old deer bones in the woods. I got some good video footage also. I might put some up on youtube later.

Do you do controlled burning personally or with your job? I've got 65 acres of pines that need it, but I don't have the nerve to light the match. Forestry Service here is way behind.

I better stay south of the border for burning. I'm not familiar enough with NC's guidelines. I am a certified prescribed fire manager in SC which gives me increased liability protection, but I wouldn't be afforded the same liability protection in NC. Here are a couple more pics.

Hey Dirt are you guys going to do any spring burning for hardwood control? I've got 500 acres of pine plantation infested with hardwood that need to be burnt here in south Ga. Scared to put a torch to it with our drought conditions. Plus this time of year we get the wind out of the east which is unpredictable.
