Front-End Loader Need a new pump for my 772A loader

Having picked the best time of the year (20 miles from Canadian border) to do maintenance on a piece of equipment using hydraulics I am getting the cylinders repacked on my loader. Figured it would be a good time to replace the 40+ year old front mounted hydraulic pump as well. Loader is mounted on a Ford 4600. Hoping someone might have a good source for picking up one of these pumps. Thanks

If its a generic pump you can check out Surplus Center for various aftermarket pumps. If you're looking for an exact replacement then a picture of the pump and any info stamped into it would be helpful to identify a replacement.

Edit: you could also take it out and have a hydraulics shop rebuild it.

The rebuild part is a good idea, hadn't thought about it considering it's age. The part number is SML5638.

I checked 2 places and prices were $650 and the other was nearly $1k. I'd call around and ask about getting it rebuilt for those prices. If your handy you might even be able to do it yourself with a little patience.

That'd be a no brainier steal if that was legit. Makes me wonder if it's a used pull or non-functional unit if it's anything real at all

I am always dubious (and try to avoid) sales sites where the seller will not give a address where he is located....
