napa oil filters

NAPA shows the oil and fuel filters but no air filter. The last time I was in they listed for the LK and DK series don't know about the CK. )</font>

Napa has a listing of the LB, LK, and DK models. They also list the CK 20 (oil filter only) last time I checked.
They show the oil filter ( Napa # 1324) and fuel filter ( Napa # 3507) for my DK 35.

This tells me that they have found a filter in their catalog with the same threads. It worries me more that the filters arent exactly the same dimensions, maybe the internals are different too like check valve, filter media, etc.

I stick with Kioti filters simply because they are not expensive and they are what the warranty calls for. If you were to have a failure, it could be argued that you did not follow the warranty rules of using Kioti approved filters. However, I doubt you would have a real problem, but it IS a potential.

I belive it is against the law to void the warranty by not using the manufactures own brand of filters.

You may very well be right, but since the Kioti filters are not so expensive, I just avoid ever having to find out by using only those filters!!

The CarQuest (Wix)85182 filter is longer and the removable side cover rests on the end of the filter. It won't take long for the side cover to vibrate a hole in the end of the filter. Now, that certainly isn't worth it

but it does fit

Willman,Thanks for the link,I was looking for something like that to show my Nissan dealer.They saw that I had used a Fram air filter and said they would not cover the mass airflow sensor if it should fail,I said "yeah right" and left.......Mike.

O.K. I'm going to bring back an old thread, I did an oil change about 3.5 hrs ago. I used a napa gold 1182 filter. I started it up this morning, and could hear a loud clicking noise above 900 rpm's. I traced it back to the filter, I could feel a pulse on the end of the filter. It felt like someone tapping on the filter from the inside. My guess, I think the inside relief came apart, or something, and the pump was dead heading. I took it off and replaced it with a new Kioti filter and it works great. I'll stick to the Kioti parts from now on. BTW napa's was over $11 Kioti's was $9's don't change your oil on a Sunday with out parts on hand.

There is a discussion over in Branson about the same issue.
I think I'd stick with the manufacturers recommendation.
Call your dealer and have them ship your filters if you can't make the trip.
A little extra on shipping is worth the lack of aggravation.
