Mystery part near fuel bleeder valve

Hello,
I was changing my fuel filter when I mistakenly(late, wrong glasses...) unscrewed this part in the picture. It looks like it has nothing to do with the fuel, but holds something in place.

If someone can identify how this needs to be re-installed, I would feel a lot better. I found the threads and screwed it in, but the flange with 2 holes on it is currently not holding anything I can see in place?

This is on a Case D45, I would look at the schematics, but now they don't let you see my machine from 2006.

If I’m looking at your arrow correctly it appears to be a screw type hose clamp. It looks like you can see the indents in the hose. It needs to be slid a little to the right and tightened up.

The plate with the 2 holes needs to go on the 2 lower hooks. The bolt needs to then push up on the upper loop, but something seems to be missing like a nut or something. The easier solution might be to just remove it (or just loosen it a little and slide it down the hose and leave it there) and install s typical hose clamp in it’s place.

I was so frustrated. I have another "mystery part" I will ask the forum with a picture. It fell off my tractor years ago, but I can't figure out from where. I think it is a guide of some kind. You guys are excellent!

BTW, my dad was stationed at EAFB for years.
