My Truth on RK Tractors

Oh My Gosh! ! ! I’ve been familiar with The Morgans, and tired of them fairly quickly. But Wowwwww, Outdoors With Eric. . . That guy is a piece of work. I don’t know how he’s got 45k followers. Maybe it’s like a car wreck, people just can’t stop watching the crash.
Unfortunately, Outdoors with the Morgan's turned out to be pretty much an informercial.
As I'd written in an earlier post, their comments on RK motivated me to look into RK tractors. When they dropped RK (or RK dropped them), that's when I decided they were just sales, not real reviews...too bad!
Never saw Outdoors with Erick...what's he all about?

Erik is like that weird kid in school who you politely listened to because you are a nice person or because you didn't want him to choose you when he went postal.

Just skip his videos unless you like watching idiots.

Funny how we grow tired of some Youtubers or come to hate some of them. I don't watch Mike Morgan enough for him to fall into either category! He's kind of slow and talky at first, and some love it.

But he really helped me with one video showing how to dribble out gravel from the front bucket to topdress a road evenly. Basically you get a load, semi-level the bucket, and drive forward shaking the bucket using curl and dump. I used it to topdress a new garden area with compost. Worked great!

Now this may be common knowledge, but I've never seen any other Youtuber address the jiggling technique, other than for getting rid of some loose stuff in the bucket that would fall out before you got to your goal.

Yes! Exactly! ! ! That describes Erik perfectly.

And with Morgan, as a novice, I did learn a few things, but with so many of these “homesteading folks”, I just want to cut to the chase, and get to the point. I tire of the extraneous talk about family and the weather. But I’m willing to put up with a guy that is irritating if I can learn something.

If you like a good clickbait dumpster fire, you'll love Eric.

Yeah, my favorite was the intruder on his property. He runs in the back with his pistol and dog.

Even his dog seemed to be thinking what an idiot his owner is.

Went to our local Rural King yesterday to pick up some things. Haven't been there in months. Noticed about a dozen RK tractors of various sizes in the parking lot. Got to wondering who's going to service them? Can't recall from the RK Tractorguy conversations a couple years ago about who was going to do that. I was curious, so I drove around the entire exterior of the store. There is only 1 normal sized overhead garage door on that building. No other visible exterior doors other than man-doors (except for the two on the loading dock, which you couldn't drive a tractor through unless it was on a high trailer). I don't think you could fit the RK cabbed tractor that was out in the lot through that 1 overhead door.

So who services these and how?

Years ago, I'd read TYM would be the service facility since the RK machines were re-badged TYM's.
What I cannot recall is if TYM would honor RK's warranty.
Based upon what I've read on this thread, and others; RK is probably a dealer to stay away from...not TYM, necessarily, but RK.
Damn shame, based upon Outdoors with the Morgans, I was really interested a couple, three years ago
But, I stuck with Deere and no intentions of going back...
