I have an electric over hydraulic PTO system on my tractor that occasionally stops working and I have to flip toggle switch 5-10 times before it comes to life. Worked ok all summer, but i was dreading issues come winter.
Just to be safe i ordered the twin relay and a new toggle switch from Kioti dealer. I dont like to just throw parts at a problem, but for less than $80 including shipping i thought...what the heck. Parts arrived within a week but sat on shelf due to hectic schedule.
Yesterday i completed install on all winter items...chains, hydraulic pump and tank, hoses and blower. Went to test it and lo and behold...nothing.
Got out the service manual and proceeded to tear apart dash to install new parts. Come to find out that the pto ground wire sits behind the plastic dual relay and was loose. Also, the paint on dash wasnt scraped behind ground wire. I scarred up paint, replaced the relay and switch with new ones (had them anyways but kept old also) and fired it up. Works like original.
I probably didn't need the parts, but i didn't want to be stuck in winter snow without a working PTO.
