My new XR4040HC

As you posted"The Dealers like to do that" If I let the air out I will also let the fluid out too. Any other idears?

Put the stems at 12 and let the fluid out, they are over filled and should not really be that full according to everything that I have read. Other than that, ya got what ya got. :mur:

I prefer to think of it as well worn...like a good pair of cowboy boots. :D I do realize that it won't last forever so I'm checking other options out.

I don't know what I'll end up getting, but I can guarantee it won't be a Mahindra. They have the worst loader stick ergonomics I've seen since the 70's. My NH dealer carries them instead of rebranded LS tractors. I love my dealer...but not that much.

What Mahindra's are you looking at? The joysticks are by far not all in the same location model-model. A 3550 HST would be a good model for you I would think. They are showing a cab version in the specs now also.

Nothing against the TYM Mahindra's, but I would not get one. If I was to go that way, I would just get a TYM model. My guess is that these are what you have looked at. :confused3:

Are the TYM's the 5110 series?

My mistake. I meant the 5010 or 6010.

Yes, all the 10 series tractors are built by TYM for Mahindra. Wrong series of machines to be looking at IMO. These were the only cab tractors that Mahindra had for quite awhile and they carried the open station equivalents. I feel that they are the economy models now, as they are no where near as nice as the TYM equivalents.

Are you considering something in the 40hp range, or are you going to step up one size? HST, power shuttle, shuttle transmission. The 3550 is available in HST or power shuttle. They are actually a pretty nice machine. Seems like you would like an HST model of that size. ;)

Well, that explains that then.

When I finally do pull the trigger I'll step up to a 45-50hp, cab and HST. Joystick and 3pt control layout as well as vision to the BB will be the most important things I look at first. I'd like a stronger loader as well as more lift height for loading trucks with less of a ramp. What I really need is a 3/4 scale 210LE with a cab...that doesn't exist...or a modernized 545D...that doesn't exist.

Very nice looking LS, congratulations.

As a side note, I would go with LS over rebranded LS (NH) any day

This sort of goes along with the same thing with the TYM tractors vs the TYM built Mahindra tractors. Seems like it is simply best to get the tractor from the Manufacturing company. Get more features-options for less money. :confused2:

Maybe...but it all comes down to the quality of the dealer (for me anyway.) My NH/Mahindra dealership is 30 minutes away, has ten really good mechanics and a very knowledgeable service manager that knows my situation, and will talk me through things on the phone to save $ and downtime. He has mentioned that if I did purchase an LS that they would work on it, but can't put me ahead of their own brands if their shop is busy. Now that I'm better informed, (thanks Brian) I may have to revisit the Mahindra option. I did like the beefy 3pt design when I looked at them.

That LS sure looks good though. Maybe I'm just partial to blue. :confused3:

I know that I am. Didn't stop me from buying red though.;)
