My 1510D has a plug on rear hydraulic valve on the left side of the tractor that is described in the service or operator's manual as a connection point for high side pressure with the stop valve closed. I am not certain that the rear hydraulic valve operates that port. I will read through my manuals tonight...

I have a John Deere 790, believe it's built by Yanmar. On the 790
a valve like the one in your picture controls the rate of drop of the
3 pt Open it up an your implement drops like a rock, Close it down
a bit and it sets em down nice an gentle.

Since there's a difference in weight between implements you may
need to adjust...

Cool tractor! I own a YM2000 and an rs1400 tiller.Your photo got me thinkin. Do you have problems with clearance between the front of the tiller and the back lugs on the tires? Boy I sure did! If I lifted the 3 pt. all the way up the tires tore the hell out of the sheet metal on the front of the tiller.It got all bent up! So my solution was to weld 2 6" extentions onto the tiller and move the pins foreward thus moving the tiller back to gain plenty of clearance.Worked awesome but I was wondering if anyone else had tis problem? As soon as my wife gets home with my digital camera I will post some pics of my solution / redneck welding. JED

JED, Yep...had that same problem first time i hooked my tiller up. I ended up adjusting my top link and later on this forum, i found that the rear-most hole on the bottom three point arms are where the connecting links go for tiller use. betwween the top link adjustment and getting the connecting links in the right position this "cured" MY problem. I was wondering, I've heard mention in this forum or another that the yanmar tillers are "light" duty due to the fact that they were designed to turn ground that has been turned for centuries. I have not found this to be the case. Mine goes like gangbusters in just about any kind of soil and i've even tilled thru a few rock patches...not on purpose of course...so far as i can see this tiller is as stout as anything i've ever seen. what are your impressions of your yanny tiller? rccoyote

Yanmar tillers use a two-piece toplink setup that works real well. It allows the tiller to be lifted higher and keeps the tines out of the tires. Find a local gray market Yanmar dealer and he'll have some of these.
