Mike, I am hoping that the riding will loosen me up and make feel better than I do now. I'm stiff and sore now from getting half of my roof put on my pole barn this last weekend. Are you saying I am going to feel even worse? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I know what my third bike will be now. That does look like a fun bike and I thanks you for sharing the pic. I have plenty of land here to ride on so a bike like that would be a good fit with my new collection. Take care and have fun this weekend.

One of my friends just bought a Ducati Monster (I can't remember the number) He bought it off of someone he knew and it is a nice looking bike but a bit too naked for my style. So now I do know someone local with a Ducati /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Oh yeah, I certainly do. Not to long ago I had a Suzuki SV650. I met an older fellow about two miles from me with an H2. I invited him riding with me and we met up with some young crotch rocket guys from work, I new they were in for a rude awakening. These 20 somethings quickly discovered to their consternation that nothing matched the H2. This guys bike is not stock, it has triple tuned exhausts and various porting mods /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. I rode an H1 when I was in high school, awesome /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif. Both the H1 and the H2 earned the name, Kawasaki's "Unguided Missle" /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif J

Hee hee! You got that right. I had my Yamaha RD400 when I met a guy that had an H1. Mine was stock and his was not. He turned me on to a company called Specialist II in Burbank, CA(think they are out of business now) that specialized in 2 stroke performance. I purchased some expansion chambers, larger carbs, lighter reed valves, and special pistons that were ported on the top. Man, what a dfference. Once you hit 7200rpm, that thing would stand on end in the first three gears. I had to get wheely bars for the drag strip. That cut a second off of my times. And the H1 would still blow me away. I'd hit around 112 in the 1/4 and he'd hit about 135. When he'd leave my house, I could hear him all the way to his house, which was about 3 miles away. What a sound!

Oh well, a correction is needed /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. I no longer used to own a SV650 as I now own another. It is a brand spanking new 2001 SV650S, 4,200 dollars US /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif. I so liked my other that another was in order and this one seemed to need a home. I sure hope I can remain in that other "50%" /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif. Well, I have been riding bikes since a teenager and so far have managed to miss the bluehairs in 6,000 lb Buicks and the Soccer moms who think their spawn is the most important protoplasm on the planet /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif so no reason luck should not continue to smile upon me. Sure, I have eaten some pavement and lot's of dirt too but nothing a little duct tape cannot mend /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif.
Cruisers are for old folks /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif, I don't want a bike that feels like I took my sofa for a ride, I like to lean into the wind, it is so much more comfortable and secure feeling and in control and control is a good thing on a bike.
Oh, that little engine in my arms is from a Bultaco Pursang 125cc, Model 100 circa 1973. This is the first bike I successfully raced in Motocross. Successful being the operative word. Soon I hope to return the rest of it to new condition. J
