My new mulching toy!!!!

We finaly did it!! we stepped up to a real mulcher. We got us a barko with an FAE head. Man it runs like a dream...no dust....great A/C....radio...and lots of room. Finally something that is comfortable to run all day in.

A good cab makes a HUGE difference. 10-12 hours in the 148 is cake...8-10 in the 140 is murder.

I hope it treats us well too...so far so good. I am really enjoying it more and more each day.

I know what you mean about the 148, i demoed one awhile back and really thought the cab was very comfortable. the size of the cab alone makes it a winner along with the barko...i can stand up in that cab.

We have over 1500 hrs on our 930 without a problem. We have a fecon 250 on ours though.

So far the barko is still very impressive. I did manage to get it stuck on the job we are on now....no worries though the winch pulled her right out. I am trying to get an video of it soon and somemore pictures.

I have had mine burried up to the bottom of the door, all you could see of the head was the push bar, the winch pulled her right out. If you can find a tree/machine big enough to hook to it will pull the machine out.

That was the machine that I was talking with you about. Actually the one I am looking at is the 937. It has a 375hp John Deere rather than the 300hp Cummins. I have decided to reel in my excitement and I am going with the 200hp Prentice instead. The work that I am doing 300hp is overkill.

how did the demo go? I have been out of touch for a week or more now. I am sticking with the Prentice, I have heard nothing but good things about them and I want a machine that will run and run with minimal problems.

Just wondering SSP about your Barko...do you run it with loaded tires or just air? Seems like loaded tires would help you get stuck, but just air in the tires would allow for more flotation.
