That's a really great set-up Larry... and I know you've even got heat in that cab. :)

You should post that in the "customization" section.

Brian,
Yes, there are another kind. RED, nasty metal trailer ramps. :D

A little pressure-treated dimension lumber under the ramp ends and supports when deployed

OK you guys, you have painted them red or used wood while using these nasty metal ramps, buuuut they are still nasty metal ramps. So, I am back to "are there any other kind" ? Heck, I even had a set of chrome plated ramps for my buggy trailer back when I went to the desert. But that didn't change what they were. Nasty.:p ;)

Brian,

Civesnedfield,
My grouser pads have two holes approx 5/6-3/4 inch in diameter. I am thinking about welding pins on my modifed "mudder" plates that can be attached with a quick pin through the existing holes.
hugs, Brandi

I see that you are alreay on top of it.

Well, okay... so they are nasty. There is only one kind. It does make you wonder, however, why they don't make them with some sort of flat feet that would not mar the pavement so badly. I've thought about adding stabilizers to my equipment trailer (like on my dump trailer) to keep the trailer dead level and help reduce the pavement marring effect... but all that nonsense just keeps adding weight to my already marginal 10K equipment trailer.

Wood is cheap, light, sits in the truck bed... and works just as well. :)

Well, it turns out that half the parts I received in this "kit" aren't even remotely relevant to the hydraulic cylinder installation. It appears that someone at the Bradco factory added the wrong installation hardware to this crate. Now I am wondering if I got all the stuff that should have been in there.
Thumb Update: Looks like I got everything relating to the Bradco thumb hydraulics that I actually paid for... plus some miscellaneous, useless parts that have nothing whatsoever to do with the thumb. Very strange. So much for my earlier statement that suggested I received a far more complete kit than anticipated.

BTW, I measured the new thumb hydraulic cylinder and it is definitely a 2.5" ID cylinder... not a 2.75" cylinder as I had always suspected. Now I am really confused about the "80% of bucket force" statement by Bradco that can supposedly be applied by the thumb using this cylinder. Better check my calculations again, but I don't think that computes!

Lastly, the low and more exposed locations of the two cylinder connections are apparently explained by Bradco wishing to avoid interference with the large stick-mounted thumb bracket without having to use top or bottom mounted connections. I suppose this makes sense... but I'll have to be extra careful when digging deep with the hydraulic cylinder installed.

Larry,
That looks cute and cozy. :) Is that BH controls I see hanging outside your cab? I could put one on the Big Red Beast, but I don't have an air conditioner for it.

Dougster,
The way Bradco runs the hard line for the bucket cylinder, I find that answer hard to believe. Guess that is Engineer speak for..........I don't want to take the time to design a nice tight hyd. installation.

THis is a Kubota L48, so I don't have to dismount tractor and mount hoe like I did with my Mahindra. Just spin the seat. A slot was cut into the rear fabric in which the hoe controls fit up through. With some days here well below zero ambient and closer to 30 below wind chill, that slot isn't even a consideration. One of the best moves I made. Curtiss is 25 miles from me and that is what I wanted, However, I hate their attitude. I called several times within a 4 month period and was always told, when we feel like making TLB cab parts for the 48, then we will. I live along side a reservoir and with bare trees and high winds coming off the water, something had to be done..I felt forced to get someone to help and that is what you see now.
