The throttle lever is adjustable. I reduced the friction on my L3400 since it was real stiff. Works great.

good to know, the dealer said thats the way it should be so it doesn't "self" adjust while mowing, etc but just seemed to much so..

I think that is basically true but I adjusted mine to a fair amount less and it still stays put.

Same here - did it just this last weekend on my B2910 - it was so tight and "sticky" that I would often overshoot the rpm I wanted because of how much force I had to apply to get it to move at all.

Loosened it up and shot a little LPS 1 on it and now I can adjust it easily.

Does this seem average or great pricing?
