I recently broke ground for my 30x40 shop that will also have a fully enclosed 15x30 lean-to attached to the left side. I will have stalls inside the lean to for my goats. The main 30x40 will be my new man cave shop! When you pull through the 10x12 door on the left, i am going to install a 10,000 pound auto lift. Through the walk door on the right, i will build out an office space of some sort. Anyways, i thought i would post up some pictures of the progress. The first picture is a computer image of the colors and design of the shop. My buddy owns a decorative concrete company, so once we are finished with the build, he is going to epoxy the floor. We are going to do a three color flake epoxy that will match the charcoal, red and black of the barn itself. Should look pretty sharp. The awning on the left side will be fully enclosed with three stall doors on the side. Feel free to chime in and give advice, or offer suggestions. I will keep adding pictures as the build goes up. 20191030_113421.jpg20191111_082039.jpg20191111_082029.jpg20191111_111523.jpg

May I suggest Polycarbonate overhead doors? I love the light they let in.

Nice looking building and a well thought out design. I'm looking forward to following our progress. What type of goats do you have?

Interesting. Ill have to look into those. Is there a huge price difference? What about temperature? Do they let more cold through?

I didn't think the cold mattered where you were. I have them in a drive shed that is currently not heated. If I could afford it, I would replace a fairly new insulated double door in my garage/shop, regardless of the heat loss, because the environment is so much improved with all that natural light.

Thanks! Its really cool to see something you have thought about in your mind for months start to take shape. We have full blood Weinheimer Spanish Goats. Along with 2 Longhorns, 1 black angus, a Charolais, a 315 pound hog, a horse, and 9 chickens. That's a huge hog you have there! How much does he weigh?

Well, compared to Canada, you would probably laugh at what we call cold here in Texas!

I'm sure it's not as cold, but just somehow BIGGER! lol
