Just picked up this Sitrex 5ft finish mower today, pics are it sitting on my little 10ft trailer right after I got back to the house. Looks to be decent shape, no major bends/breaks/or welding and everything seems to be there. Didn't get to see or hear it run due to that fact that the man's tractor wasn't running. He had been using it with a gray market tractor (Shibaura I think) and he was having to rewire the ignition key switch for some reason. I could tell that by rocking the PTO shaft back forth it would move the blades so I think it's all working. Did not appear to be any leaks from the gear box either. He was asking $500, the lowest I could get him down was $470. Had to do something after last summer, the heavy rains kept the grass growing so fast that my parents Craftsman mower (21hp) with a 42" deck was just struggling cutting it all summer long. This should do the trick!!

I have a larger model of your mower, bought used and it works great. If you have uneven ground, with a lot of flexing between the tractor and mower, I would suggest turning the top link attach bracket 180 degrees to increase the amount of free play available. I drained the gearbox by removing the large "C" bracket the grearbox is attached to, turning it over a pan to drain. Of course, the appropriate color paint was applied. Biggest issue I had was removing the blades, as they had never been removed before. Luckily, there is room for an open end wrench above the blade on the spindle which can be lodged against the under deck baffling and with a 48" breaker bar, they were loosened. When looking for parts, include GEORGIA EQUIPMENT COMPANY in your seach, good service and reasonable prices.

I had one, worked great. I never hooked up the top link when mowing, only to load it or unload it on the trailer. That way the mower follows the ground contour better. Good luck...
