Glad to hear you came through the wreck ok!

Even though this is a bit late, I had this problem on a Ford pickup truck... The spark plug wires on one side of the v8 had to in the wire looms in a particular order. If they were not, they would effectively short themselves through the insulation.

My truck ran rough after plug/wire/rotor/cap change. That was the problem; I had the two wires that were sensitve, and were on cyliners that fired close together, bumping each other. Changed that, and it ran fine
