My Bobcat\'s leaking!

I've got a bobcat 753 that's leaking oil from the hub. Anybody know what it takes to fix this? Would it be the hydraulic fluid leaking or the oil in the chain case?

Re: My Bobcat\'s leaking!

If it's leaking from the wheel hub it's chaincase oil, depends on the model 753 you have as to a fix, early models you have to go in the chaincase and remove a bolt and the entire axle comes out, later models have a large bolt that holds the hub on the axle on the outside that can be removed and seal replaced, skidsteers love to get string, wire, twine, etc. wrapped up around the seal area and will eventually work it's way into the seal and ruin it

Thanks for the reply. It's a 1995 model 753. I'll make sure I keep the chaincase topped off till I fix it. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
