murder by tractor

/ murder by tractor #11
Here's an odd VERY close call, so unexpected, just something you would never think of. Carrying muck about when my good lady asks for some to be left near her rhubarb. Fine, arrive at rhubarb, pull muck fork release handle, nothing happens, realise there is not enough weight of muck to trip the muck bucket. Decide to push it down, but forgot it is spring loaded. As soon as the muck left the bucket it tipped back up and the tines whipped up punching a hole through 3 layers of clothing, cracking my ribs and luckily just shoving me backwards. As the weight had now gone off the FEL it shot upwards to the top of it's travel. If I had been just a couple of inches closer, the tines would have gone under my ribcage, impaled me and lifted me in the air. Any lawyer could probably have made a good case for murder out of a picture of husband impaled on FEL and 10 feet in the air. Things ain't always what they seem!
