Hi,

I was kicking around getting a small used mulcher and using it in my "spare time" to open up food plots for hunters. We have a fair amount of out of town land owners and while it won't be enough for a full time gig, it may help to pay for itself.

What sort of coverages, limits and costs are typical?

(Yes, I would get a biz lic, form an LLC and all that stuff to be legit)

Thanks!

2 mil general, 4 mil aggregate plus 2 mil lease/hired vehicle, workmans comp, the whole nine. makes it tough to compete with the low bidders but we are covered enough for the big contracts as well since we are in "hurricane alley" never know what you may need.

and don't neglect to insure machine fully for fire and theft. Our T-300 has had two fires already I've heard of a few fires in the new c series cats already. No machine is put to the test as much as those in a forestry environment. Not even the skidders are fire-proof!

My coverage is 1 and 2 million, and also covers my logging activities...around $2000 per year...including machine coverage...add in a 33K rollback truck and commercial driver insurance and its closer to $3500.
