Kubota 9540 85HP (500hrs) with grapple loader and Bull Hog DH85 PTO (300hrs), materials bucker and 8' snowplow that my body does not want me to run anymore. Used for R&D for yard waste shredding and for Pinyon and Juniper clearing in Nevada.
The tractor is bigger than it looks... I replaced the 30" rims and tires with R4X24 rears, 18's up front to give me lower gears and better sidehill stability... note front tires backwards like motor grader for better steering and aggressive tread in reverse... runs straight and true on the road too... old Unimog trick. Ground speed is everything when mulching so the smaller tires and creepers allow me to do stumps too. I am quietly thinking of selling, my wife says it has to go... she doesn't think I should be in the tree business any more.
Nevada - Utah border 5 hours north of Vegas on US #50. Shred pinyon and juniper, cottonwood, poplar, sage, rabbitbrush, and lots of willow...
We are at 6,000 feet on the side of a 13,000 footer, about 20 degrees cooler than Vegas in the summer and way cold in the winter.
Like she said, it is time, Daniel. The tractor, shredder, grapple, materials bucket, pallet forks, snow plow and 14' utility trailer gotta go for 60K...
Hi Dave,
Yes, long time. I was at the factory and, of course, saw Pam and Don... they look well and Pam seems to hold up well at the center of the Fecon universe... nothing happens without her approval!
My shredder threw a weight and needed balancing before I could sell it. And the factory is a better place for it to wait for a likely customer... it is a bit remote out here where I live!
So have a Merry O'l Christmas!
Dan
