Mtd huskee

I have a mtd huskee mower 38in 1997 when i try to crank it nothing happens at all no sound nothin. Any sugesstions

sounds like you have a bad battery connection. try wriggling wires while holding down the key to start it, or you have a safety device not making contact, such as the seat safety device. check the voltage on the battery if you have something to check it with , or put some jumper cables on it.

I have an MTD Huskee also. It's a different year and size, but my experience may be of some use. I found that the plug that went into the PTO switch had vibrated loose over the years. It was deader than a hammer! After charging the battery and changing the starter with no results, I noticed the loose wiring and pressed it back into place. It started and ran like a champ!
