I can't get my mt372 to start. Found that the starter flywheel does not turn. I had it turning over this morning and after a few attempts to get it started. Now the flywheel won't move.

How are you attempting to turn the engine over? What are you calling the starter flywheel? You can usually rotate the engine with a socked and a breaker bar on the big nut at the front of the engine on the crankshaft. It's not real easy but will show the engine is not frozen. If you mean the starter won't turn the engine that can be as simple as a weak or dead battery or dirty connectors at the battery. Please elaborate on the problem. More info may yield a solution.

Here is what I have done. I took the starter off and tried to rotate the flywheel where the starter would engage to start the tractor. And it won't rotate.

It certainly sounds like something has seized. That is not a good sign. You will probably have to pull the cylinder head to hopefully get an idea of what's going on. You may have had a piston seize or perhaps, if run with inadequate oil, one of the bearings may have seized. For further information, parts, and possibly a manual, contact Valley Power
