My gear range shifter quit on me today so it stays in the low range all the time regardless if it's in the Low or Hi position. Is there anyone who has had this problem and might know what it is that is causing this.

Most likely pin or bolt in the linkage. it the shaft turns with the leaver then the problem is inside the gearcase. you will have to remove the seat and the hudrolic control unit to get to the gears and linkage. not realy so bad I have opened the gear case on my beaver III several times.
