MT372 help brakes

As a forum member was so helpful, they put me in the right area for my hydraulic issue, thought lets try again.
Does anyone have details on the brakes, mine seem to be worse than useless.
When checking the rod linkage from the pedal, all seems fine until I reach the rear area, where the rod terminates, the rod moves but nothing else does.
Can I just remove the cover at this point, anything likely to 'pop' out?
Any diagrams available?
I need a manual but hard to come by in the UK

Take everything apart and clean with brake clean spray. Take some sandpaper and scuff the pads and drum. Make sure the arm (2) can pivot in the hole in the cover. Clean that too and put a very small amount of lube on those parts. Make sure the springs aren't broken.
