LS Tractor introduces the new MT225S | Farms.com. Watch the beginning of this video and look at the seat and rails. The photos of the problem seat and rails look completely different.

The seat looks the same but I don’t see the gray handle that releases the seat to slide. I didn’t get a chance today to take mine apart to see if Kent’s solution works for me.

This is still a minor issue in my mind. It’s a great little tractor.

I have a similar setup on my MT125. It was always a PIA to rotate the seat so ...

... I made a small pup seat out of a board, some padding and some blue vinyl. I just lean the main seat forward and sit on the new one.

I had my seat off this weekend. I tried the track rotation and that didn’t help.
I had it on and off a couple times. Finally I relocated the mounting holes on the seat lift 3-7/8 back toward the BH. This might be too much but it’s staying there for now.

Now I have a question about a leftover part. It fell when I first took the seat off the tractor. It might be a leftover from the original none swivel seat but it can’t figure out its intended job. Thoughts?

Maybe a stop so the seat does not slide back to far........:confused3:

That’s what I was guessing but both slides still have stops. I’m just hoping it’s not part of the ejection seat assembly. Lol

It looks like a slide stop. There was something similar that I removed on my work truck.

That piece is a travel limiter. It goes on the right rear seat rail and if the track is not in the right position when installed it will limit forward travel.

It's not really needed as the tracks already have travel stops.

My seat is great....I fit very nice in my tractor ( 6'2" / 230 lbs )...only gripe would be when not in backhoe position, I wish it had more elevation selection. When the seat is in backhoe position...it's a little tight getting in and out of the platform.

I am 5'11" 260 lbs it works great for me in the backhoe position too. But like Kormidoit it's a little tight getting in and out of the platform.

17 inches to center of sticks on mine , plenty of adjustment in either direction, the button to raise seat is a pain though, hard to push in , im at 250 hrs, no problems, good machine

The button is hard to push in. Even lowering the seat is difficult.

My seat button is tough too. When I try to lower it I worry I might loose a finger when it finally disengages and lowers. This model (or maybe brand) has some small engineering challenges but after almost 2 years I’m still very happy with the work it does for me.

Would someone please check their rotating seat on their MT225s and tell me how close they can adjust the seat to the BH controls?

I can’t get it close enough and wind up sitting on the edge of the seat to operate the hoe. Unless the LS engineers are 7 feet tall I think there is something wrong. It was installed at the dealer but I don’t see an obvious issue that I can fix. My picture shows it moved as close as it gets to the backhoe. View attachment 665276
I drilled a couple mounting holes so I could move the seat closer to the hoe. Now it's what you would expect.
