It has the Yanmar ECU controlled, indirectly charged engine. Yanmar pioneered that swirl chamber process for smaller diesels making them more reliable and fuel efficient. No smoggies of any kind other than the ECU deciding what and when. Doesn't smoke, doesn't stink, starts in a flash, pulls like an Ox, sips diesel. I am overly happy with mine and I am picky. The design was very well thought out for operator convenience and room....like a tilt wheel on a 25 hp tractor???? I did add a suspension system to the upgraded seat that comes with it. Nice soft ride now.
Thank you, I have never had or been around tractors, other than a rental for a weekend so I have little to no knowledge. I have been trying to read as many of these post as I can to gain a little information. I bought the MT225S after telling the dealer all I needed to do. He set me up with the rental to make sure it was what I wanted/needed. Hope it will be a good tractor for me, love to hear that you are happy with yours! Mine is getting here tomorrow, so excited.

Congratulations on the new toy! Just take it slow, read all you can about tractor use and use your head.
Always be conscious that a tractor will hurt you or anybody nearby not belted in the seat. Hydraulics and PTO shafts are unforgiving and don’t care if your squishy bits are in the way.
Set the parking brake before you get out of the seat. Newer tractors come with some safety gizmos old tractors didn’t, but they are the first things people bypass for convenience.
