Wow! LS wants $1242.50 for that same starter. It pays to shop around.

I had the same issue but it was the safety switch under the tractor that works with the front and rear pedals but u said u check that. Maybe u can by pass it and see if your tractor starts.

Yesterday I had the pedal cotter pin slip out, so I had to pull the floor which required me to to pull the shroud which has the key and cruise control on it. I disconnected both to get it out of the way of me removing the floor. Reconnected it and it seems to be a new problem. I did check both fuses that are found under there and both were good.

Also, if you mean the Roll Pin for the pedals, I just had mine back out too, but put it back it without all that disassembly.

Unfortunately, the way the tractor was parked It seemed to be the easiest way to re-install the pin. Would have been almost impossible to tap the pin in with a hammer without removing the floor.

I just had mine apart. Roll pin started to slip again, but this time I recognized it. Pulled the cowling and seat pan this time since I didn't feel like pulling the mower. Four thumb knobs on the cowling, then the three connectors. Six bolts on the floor pan.

Put it all back together and it started right up.

Somehow you missed something, or your problem is coincidental, but not related. I don't see any way possible for the starter motor to be affected by removing the floor pan.

Finally made to Ernst Irrigation in St Paul Oregon. I didn't buy my machine from them,.......but I should have. Eating some humble pie in admitting purchasing from another dealer that doesn't sell LS anymore, due to "not getting along with them." The guys down there run a really fantastic shop. I work in a an industry that customer service is becoming scarce. SHops that chk things on the spot when you come in hardly exist anymore.

They took the time to show me a connector under and next to the fan underneath that they said comes loose too easily and a few other things to look for. They tested the starter and it seems to be working well enough.
