Welcome to TBN. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You want the non-conductive model.
The conductive is for Aircraft and Marine applications.

Actually your TBN name is the number 301 plus the letter O. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Nothing wrong with a 3010 as far as I am concerned. Welcome to TBYNet.

On the Mr. Funnel......... and to Ron too, I bought the conductive one. I use it for diesel as well as gasoline. Get the high capacity one. Diesel will thicken a little in cold weather and the lower capacity funnel, well....you have to be pretty patient.

I guess you's be okay as long as your diesel is warm, but I fill off a bulk, outside tank. The diesel is cold in the winter.

"does it matter what one i buy conductive or non conductive?"

Hey, welcome!

Actually, I think the most correct answer is NO, it doesn't matter. Either will do the same filtering job. The non-conductive is cheaper, but my experience was that the conductive model was easier to find, so that's what I bought. If I could have found the non-conductive one, I would have bought it and saved a couple of bucks.

I got the middle size (F3C), and have found it a good size for use with my BX23. It does take the fuel a while to pass through the filter, though, so the advice to get the bigger model is good, especially if you're filtering a lot of fuel. In my case, I only pour a couple of gallons at a time.

As was discussed here recently, Lake and Air, a seaplane pilot shop, has good prices and prompt response. You can find them by clicking HERE .

Rimmer:

I purchased mine right from the manufacturer.

With all the hoopla about filling plastic gasoline cans at the gas station in the back of your pickup on the plastic bed liner and static electricity discharge and then "BOOM", I felt that the conductive one was a better investment. Again, I use mine for diesel as well as gasoline.

Either one would work... what does a Mr Funnel do that a regular funnel doesn't do? Filter particulate matter? Separate water?

Yes to both questions.
