Mowing Mowing with FEL

I think it depends on your tractor, your property and how good the route you have when mowing.

So do a test and cut it once with and once without and find what works for you because here you will find that some take it off and some leave it on but our decision to do so will probably be based on the experience we have with a different tractor and property than yours.

^^^ This pretty much says it all.

I leave mine on, but then I only mow with a rotary cutter in a flat pasture. If I were finish mowing around obstacles, I'd likely take it off (or more likely use the zero turn).

I leave it on , you get good at raising it the odd time that you need to, .............If I took it off it takes up space on flat floor of garage otherwise , and at times need the bucket same time I am cutting to pickup something I notice on my 4 acres cutting .

I mow in an area full of gumbo mud. I leave the FEL on so I can crawfish my way out when I get stuck in the mud.

I can relate to this! I'm worrying about this with my NX because I'll likely have the grapple on more than the bucket; I already found out that pallet forks don't work as well (OK, they don't work at all!) as a bucket for getting unstuck. No QA on my B7800 so the bucket is on there full time.

If you hone your bucket accuracy , you might even be able to pick up dog poops with the bucket as you cut...........smile
