mowing speed

I should have known "there's an app for that." Holy cow, of course. Ortimber, do you know how small a mowing area is handled by that JD mowing app ? No doubt that sort of thing is easy with very large fields but there is probably some low-end limit. Second question, does the JD app also have an Android non-Apple version ?

That app is pretty cool. I don’t think it matters how small the mowing area is.

It’s called mower plus, and I believe there is an Android version.

One would need to drive a stake in the ground and come back in 10 minutes to see how far they moved if mowing that slow.

Or chalk the wheels, lol.

Course, I've only tried ZT once, i could go straight quick, but slow near objects.

I would like to know if these speeds are estimated. I mow part time for a construction company. I run a 60 hp tractor equipped with a 6 foot brush mower. I have a speed app on my phone. The fastest I can get is about 6.6 mph on a smooth field. Any faster and the mower skips plus I get beaten. My normal speed is more like 4 mph, so I can avoid obstacles.

I use a 6' bush hog on my M7060HD12 to maintain a series of annual plots and perennial Durana clover plots. When the grass (in clover) or oats(annuals) get above 24", I'm moving at 3.2mph and a PTO speed of 540-550. I can run up to 4.5mph with short grass.
