Mowing in reverse with SCUT and MMM

My Branson has no seat switch or other "nanny" safeties.

My riding mower has a position on the ignition key switch to disable the reverse safety. I just always seem to have to back up once without it first before I remember to rotate the key switch.

I prefer not to have them.

While at the JD dealer yesterday I was told that the mid mount mower pto would stop if I go in reverse (1025R) . There is a button to override this. I was also told it was required to have this function by law and that all SCUT would stop the pto. It was stated as a safety feature.

Questions:
1 Does kubota mmm pto stop if you go in reverse (bx2680)?
2. Does this become a nuisance while mowing, do you have to push the button every time you back up then start forward?
3. after backing up ( to turn around etc) do you have to throttle down to re-engage pto before going forward?
The button won’t stop the blades from turning. You only push it briefly to back up. If you don’t, it will stop the pto and you have to re-start the blades. Yeah, it can be a pain. You do eventually get used to it and it becomes second nature but kind of frustrating. Some guys disable it but not recommended.
