Mowing acreage.

I looked at and seriously considered the Ferris and was going to purchase one but because of all the reports I kept finding on-line about having to rebuild the suspension at about 3 years of use so I bought an ExMark Lazer Z with the operator suspension platform.

I don't mow with my Kubota M6040 for several reasons. It's just too heavy ( 10,000+ ) and with R-1 tires it will rip/tear up the grass and surface - any time of the year. There is no way I could navigate around all my out buildings and house with the M6040.

One thing though - I kind of wish I would have got a mmm with power steering. By the time I have finished mowing it all ( 2 1/2+ acres ) - I'm kind of bushed/shaken, not stirred and covered with grass clippings and pocket gopher mound dust. My mower - JD 570.

Needless to say - my lawns are NOT one big rectangular field.
