Mower Blades

I know this topic has been discussed, but with spring now ALMOST here, I would like to get some opinions regarding mower blades.

I have an X495 with the 62" deck, and also a 2520 with the 62D deck. I'm due to replace the blades on the 495 deck, and would like ask the knowledgeable folks here a couple of questions.

1. Are the blades the same for my 62 & 62D mowers. I think they are, but I sure would like to get this confirmed. I know I could compare them, but I just got the 2520 late last year, and have hardly used the mower, and don't particularly want to go through the hassel of taking one off the deck, if I can get an answer here.

2. I'm considering trying a set of "Gator" blades this time on my X495, and would appreciate if anyone out there that has had experience with them would share there thoughts on them.

How do they compare with the OEM's? Would you buy them again?

to my knowledge..

#1 - if the deck is a 62C (convertible) or 62D (drive over)- they are the same deck and the blades would be interchaneable..

#2 I like the gators.. the clippings are MUCH smaller than the OEM blades.. I like them so much i have 2 sets of Gators
