Moving Fishing Kayaks with a Tractor w/ Pallet Forks

/ Moving Fishing Kayaks with a Tractor w/ Pallet Forks #11
Mount a pair of kayak J-bars on each side of the tractor, at an easy lifting height. Make them easily detachable for tractor work.

I'd just make a double-wide cradle for them with a single axle across the middle and 26" bike tires. You can load them on the cradle and slide them back and forth to give you neutral fore/aft balance and then you can wheel it by hand with little to no physical exertion far faster than getting the tractor involved. If you must involve the tractor, make it a trailer and tow it. The bike wheels will make it super easy to maneuver inside your barn as well.

I'm with Moss. If you stick stuff way out in front of your tractor there's a lot higher chance, than with towing, that you're going to hit something. Bike wheels would be perfect!

I like the idea of ropes, I'm sorry lines, going from the bow to the forks and from from the stern to the forks. One long and one short with carabiners. You could have the kayaks on the floor in your building and drive the forks over the top. Hook up both lines on both kayaks. Get back on the tractor and raise the forks lifting both kayaks. I realize that the kayaks are 11' long but almost half of that will be under the forks. I like this idea so much I think I will try it with my kayaks.
