On the large pipe that attachs to the top link there are three holes where the curved pipe that attaches to the lower links would be attached. What are the purpose of the three holes? I mounted using the one closest to the tractor. The unit seemed to work okay. My geometry not being what it should be I can't tell how a different hole would make what sort of difference. Can someone please shed some light for old dim wit here?

It serves the same purpose as the 3 holes for your top link. You want to be able lift to as high as possible so you can dig on an uphill grade.

Or adjust down low for digging on a downhill grade!!! ;)
