Yup, I just went and looked - I've got the same brackets on my B2910. However, these brackets were installed on the tractor when I bought it with the 402 FEL (but WITHOUT the BL4690B backhoe ... which I added later) Based on that, I'd say that these brackets are actually part of the loader subframe.

In reality, they could be a sort of combo loader/backhoe subframe and may be another reason (besides weight and counterbalance) why Kubota says that a FEL is required for a Kubota backhoe on this tractor.

I think Neil is correct in his assessment - it isn't really a subframe that attaches directly to the backhoe, but it does provide additional strengthening of the frame and essentially provides the functionality that a subframe would (more or less.)

Yup - I got those too when I initially picked up the tractor.

I guess I just assumed that those longer brackets were put there as the result of the backhoe being installed... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Sounds like rswyan may have hit the nail on the head if they were there with his B2910/loader before the backhoe came into the picture... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
