Yes and what does go on is early in the design process where who knows what the different generals/admirals may want for their own applications...but again, a lot of general rigging and mil work is done after the fact...

I am still trying to figure our if Duck boats came with AR-15's or not? But holy cow, I learned they can be aircraft carriers, with a little lumber added. Who knew?

I wouldn't pay a nickle to go on a Duck boat, regardless of the accident, but would pay and jump at the chance to go for a ride on a PBR.

Someone's "lap dance" does play a part and you're kiding yourself if you think it doesn't. Expense accounts have been around a very long time. You just have to know how to play the game.
