I wanted to dig up an old cable but had to remove this rock first. The cable is on the right. G

Nice pictures, You've got a clean machine.

The photos made me wonder if there's a market for a croquet game based on big rocks and using a backhoe as a mallet.

Perhaps Backhoe golf (putting the rock back in the hole)? Yeah, I think I'll use the 24 iron (bucket) for this shot. I can see the announcers trying to whisper over the sound of Big Turbo TLB taking a whack at a 400lbs rock.

I did get the cable out after I was done with the rock. Tomorrow I'll post a photo of it's final resting place. G

Very nice! Do you have hooks welded on your bucket? I'm going to have to take a picture of the big flat rock I turned into a bench!

Thanks. I have "D" rings on the FEL.
As for the rock, it will be used for a seat for the kids at the end of the driveway. G

Now that looks like fun.

Unfortunately, I have to paint in the evenings lately instead of tractoring. I pull in the driveway after work and all those logs and boulders cry out to me. Just gotta grip the steering wheel on my pickup, mutter something about self discipline, go inside and pick up a paint brush.

I have quite a few rocks like yours. My challenge is getting them out of their holes without a BH. Lots of hand digging and leverage with a stout crow bar to get a chain or strap under the rocks prior to lifting with the tractor. All without getting myself hurt. The tractor provides the brawn, I (hopefully) am providing the brains. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm thinking of getting a 3PH subsoiler to help to pry them up. Any thoughts on how well that might work?

Yeah please do - I got a laugh out of it going down the street - I was going to ask just how far you are dragging the thing. It looked like a grudge match - and the Kioti won! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Is that a large rock for your area? I ask because my land is literally jammed with stuff like that and much bigger. It's a pain, everytime I go to dig there is always a mama jama rock to move. But on the plus side I've done some great landscaping with the assorted rocks I've dug out. I've built outdoor gardens around them and in some cases used the rocks as the center piece.

BTW - I have plenty extra if you'd like some /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Take Care,

The rock in it's new home. Still have a lot of landscaping to do, but we're getting there. G

That is an average size on my property. As for how far I played Tug-Of-War with it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif, about 60 yards.

I also use them to landscape. You can get real creative with some of them. G

Got that right! They can make a 10 minute job unexpectedly a lot longer and sometimes very frustrating /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif. G
