they must have done some mods to the engine for it to turn them big tires and climb that hill. it's funny the tran's didn't go out but it looked like it held up pretty good.

hey if that ranger can take it the hpx can take it i'm gonna go get me some hummer tires too!!! not!!! lol.

That Ranger was done about a mile from where I sit right now. It either didn't last long, commander said take that ridiculous thing apart, or it was put in a CONEX and it is on it's way to California because I have not seen it yet. I have been meaning to go over to the shop where it was done and do some asking around about it. Most likely it got trashed and it is sitting out back somewhere because it is not in the UTV section of our junk yard.
The Ranger engine is 40hp and with the HPX you are starting with 20hp. If it took some engine mods for the Ranger, it will take some serious mods for the HPX.

it's got alot to do with the transmission too. you can take a 10hp briggs and put the right gear reduction on it and out do a 20 hp briggs. now i'm not saying the ranger is a bad utv but the rhino has more hp than the hpx but i can pull a rhino all around my yard and out haul it and i have a smaller engine with less hp.it's all in the transmission. so i think that the ranger just might be still alive somewhere .lol maybe with a cracked frame and a broken a arm or a cracked shaft or two but the transmission just might hold up as long as they don't go droping it in gear .but then again it could be dead somewhere just like you said because they road the poor thing to death.but it looks like they had fun with it while it was still breathing.
