Nice view with your willy's pick up, Those fires over on the east side are bad news, My son was working at the holden mine and had to be evacuated along with 300 others, Been sitting at home for a couple weeks now. They have millions worth of machinery sitting up there with little protection if any at all.

I like old stuff. This old truck has 1979 (j10? J20?), disc brakes, power steering, electronic ign. I bought it from "the son" selling off his departed dad's barely finished projects. He had about 20 "projects" to get "driveable & sell". This one runs & drives great and I like the barn look. I dont think its restorable.

Would like to see Holden someday. Will be a real shame if it burns up, once their gone their gone.

A fun truck. I had two of them in the 60's and 70's. The first was completely stock. The second had 327 Chevy, Warn and BW overdrives and Utility box.

A lot of my repairs beg for TIG. But theres really no need for this one to been done better, getting done at all took a year. Plus, repairs on an old truck like this need to look old school.

Bruce this truck is cool. I am tempted to unload it and find one like you described. Only problem is they -- all -- look so "modified". I'd like one that has modern brakes, steering etc but looks totally original, faded.

Even so I'm about fed up just "wishing" for a TIG.
