Model 51 corn planter

Does anyone have parts diagram of the seed hopper and plates? I bought the planter used and am having problems. So far I have broke a seed plate and the seed hopper. I think something is missing where the seed plate goes in.

On jdparts.deere.com you can download a PDF copy of the parts catalog for the 51 Unit Planter. The file is too large for me to send to you in an email. I have a two row unit I purchased and haven't had a chance to use. I have ordered a few small parts for the units using the downloaded parts catalog from my local John Deere dealer.

You can also get seed plates from seed suppliers. The oem plates for these older planters are steel, the plastic one the seed guys can get work just fine for a lot less $. There are two different parts catalogs here, one for the 51 planter (worked SIMILAR to the more popular 71, now made by yetter mfg), and a separate book for the seed plates and false rings (pc268).
