Mobley SIM move into Netgear 4g LTE Modem

We just recently bought a Nighthawk R7000, this thing is crazy fast, huge upgrade from our old Netgear WNDR3700. It's a dual band, but you could just set it as a "smart connect", and it automatically connects your device to the optimal signal.

The R7000 is just the router you still need the modem also in front of the router in this application.

I might consider trying this if others report a similar speed increase. In the meantime I get a consistent 10+ Mbps which will support two devices streaming HD at the same time and is good enough. It usually tests 13 to 15 down but I get 1 or less up.

I like the portability of my ZTE Velocity. I run it through a GL-AR300 router to increase the distance. That was just how I had it set up with the Mobley so I don't know the actual range on the Velocity. The GL-AR300 is good out several hundred feet so I use that for wifi cameras out in the field. I can use the Velocity as a stand alone wifi device. I took it to Daytona with me last time I went and it got 60 Mbps down sitting on the hotel dresser. It also has it's own battery power.

Still working fine after a few days now. Wireless speeds are consistently at 40 meg down. Wired is still running right at 60 so I'm pretty happy with the set up. Upload speeds are anywhere between 5 and 10. A far cry from where I was at with the Mobley that's for sure. Granted I lost portability but I never took the Mobley anywhere anyway so no big deal for me.

Ahh, crap I'm sorry! I though you were talking routers, duh! I've got an arris surfboard SB6141, it's 5 yrs old now but it's great, I had no problems with it.
