I switched mine to a ZTE Velocity with no problems. Mine was one of the first generation Mobleys.

OMG, I ran a speed test before I started an hour ago with the Mobley and I was getting about 10 meg down and 3 up. Installed the Netgear 4G LTE Modem and put a Netgear 2600 Nighthawk behind it and I'm running almost 60 meg down. Unbelievable. The instructions in the link in my first post were spot on. You put in a bogus 4 digit PIN 4 times and then it asks you for the PUK Code which I got from AT&T and then you can create a new PIN. I'm so glad I did this. Happy Dance

Thanks for posting your experience. That gives me some confidence to do the same. So you're using the Nighthawk as a firewall/router? Also, do you know what band you are connecting to your tower?

I don't think I got a speed increase with the Velocity but I went to working from not working. :)

Not sure what Band it is connecting to but yes, you have to have a router behind the modem because the modem has no wifi just an ethernet wan port. I stuck with Netgear for both devices and they work flawless together.

Which model modem did you buy? LTE Modems | Mobile Broadband | Home | NETGEAR

I wonder if the PUK code is a generic number that will work for all the Mobley sims? When I unlocked my Motorola phone the unlock code was just a generic number for that model phone and wasn't targeted at my account specifically.

I didn't have to do any of that when I switched my Mobley sim to the Velocity. I wonder if they pushed an update to lock my sim since?

I bought the Model: LB1120 from Amazon and picked up the router at Walmart. The PUK code is specific to your SIM Card, they are not generic. My Mobley was updated to the 1.0.3 version so that is why I think it prompts you now for the PUK code. You may have moved your SIM prior to that update.

We just recently bought a Nighthawk R7000, this thing is crazy fast, huge upgrade from our old Netgear WNDR3700. It's a dual band, but you could just set it as a "smart connect", and it automatically connects your device to the optimal signal.
