MMM ground clearance

On the GC2300 is there sufficient ground clearance with the MMM to allow use of the FEL? If not, what is the real world of removing the mower like (I do have a paved surface)?

I think the wife will like the MMM better than a 3-point - just have to cut some more branches off the trees to keep the ROPS out of them.

For heavy loader work I'll leave the tiller on for weight. Is this a good idea?

on my GC2300 with the mower deck all the way up there's approx 6" of ground clearance. I keep mine on while using the brush hog and tiller...don't know about a FEL.

Removing the deck takes about 5 minutes or so (after the first time). Watch out for the hydraulic filter...one of the wheels can bump it. You have to angle the deck to get it around the filter and out, but if you're on concrete, it's not bad.

Your wife will love the MMM. I hardly use my brand new Cub Cadet 2042 to mow around the house with now.....this is 1 sweet mowing rig!

I have had no problem using the FEL with the MMM attached. Never have taken it off in three years. It's time so I need to heed the advice on missing the filter.

I figure it will be one of those things that I wish I'd done sooner.

I also hope to get a tiller, I plan on keeping either a blade or the tiller on the back end. The FEL has gotten some real weight on it from time to time. Only once did I get the rear wheels up. It was a log about 16' long and 24" diameter that I was dragging.

I also have the 2300 with the 60 mmm and fel. havent taken the mmm off as of yet but i have scaped some paint off the mower on a few hidden rocks and stumps in my back yard while using the fel. in a few weeks when mowing season ends off it comes and then i can get into the tight spots i want to "work" in.
