As I get older, my neck doesn't appreciate being turned a bunch to see behind me. I ordered these yesterday because of the way they mount & the size of the mirrors that don't add significantly to the width of the tractor.

Thanks for the link. Those would be helpful with rear snowblower.

Those look nice, I like the size! I put 5" round ones on my loader masts and find they are a tad to small, will upgrade to something like you are getting after I break them off.

Nice find Locoweed. When I was looking for a side mirror I guess that I couldn't come up with the right combination of words to search & come up with that result.

I eventually found a mirror (at my local auto parts shop) that I thought would fit the bill. I had to get a local fabrication shop to make the bracket... yours is all-in-one!

That is a great mirror. I was considering a rear mounted tractor camera, but it seems like overkill and it's nice that you can just reach over with a rag if it gets fogged up.

Update

Here is what it looks like. I had to change the mount. Since I have a small tractor, there wasn't enough room to get access to the grease zerk with the stock mount. So I cut off the pinch part & drilled a couple of holes & tapped it for 1/4x20.

I really want to be able to see a 180° view of the field behind me as I'm mowing, dissing, plowing etc. Was thinking of finding bumper backup cams on junkyard sites. Dont know how much they'd be, especially considering the breakdown cost of the wiring and screen? I'll let u guys know if you're interested how it turns out for me.

I have a rear facing camera inside my larger tractor cab but find it not worth the price and installation. Screen clarity depends on which way the sunlight is shining towards the camera lens. When mowing a field in different directions the quality of the picture changes constantly and you have to change the gain or color control for a consistent picture. I have never tried to mount a sunshade around the lens but may attempt to in the future. I have three review mirrors on the tractor and they work well.

Been thinking about getting a set of these for awhile. Have you tried them out yet and what are your thoughts? Thanks for sharing the link.

I had a bucketcam setup on my L3200. $120 for a marine type monitor & $30 for the camera. Wasn't super excited about the results. Standard definition screens & cameras aren't that great. Brightness was easily washed out.

Keeping an eye out for a HD resolution setup at a reasonable price for a bucket & rear camera setup on my new cabbed L4060, but haven't found anything interesting even ignoring price.

Yeah the brightness on monitors outside is a real problem. Unless you can afford a nice OLED screen like on new iPhones, etc. you are probably not going to like the results.

I don't really have issues with my monitor, and it's a cheap one. I use it a fair amount just to check on things behind me as I mow along. When I reverse I'm STILL inclined to turn around- having 6' or whirling death back there I'm just not comfortable in allowing anything other than my eyes having a direct connection to instructing my brain on how to maneuver. A big value is a camera up-front, but, unfortunately, I can't keep one from getting smacked (broken mount now and I haven't spent any time on what I'll do about it).

The mirrors on my NX just never seem to stay put, they keep getting knocked around. I seem to rely on them more as feelers than as instruments for guiding reverse travel! Getting things properly tucked in is the real challenge to making such things work.

Check this company: Rearview Systems: Backup Camera Safety Kits & Accessories

I installed mine 5 years ago, very happy with it.

Showing that I backed the hitch ball under the trailer hitch using the rear camera:

I found a really cheap pair of 5"x7" golf cart mirrors on eBay that turned out be not totally crappy. For $15/pair, you won't have to cry too long if you knock one off and drive over it. HERE is the eBay link.

I attached the mirrors to the FEL frame on my Kioti CK3510H using H-F tool holder magnetic strips. They seem to hold on well and don't vibrate much. It is nice to sidestep the issue of making holes in your tractor for an accessory. I used one bolt and a zip tie to attach the mirror to the magnet strip. As can be expected, the hardware that came with the mirrors is complete garbage. Do yourself a favor and just throw it out.

These mirrors are smaller than most sold by tractor makers but they are big enough to be useful and maybe less likely to get caught on this-n-that while you're working.

...ned.

That setup looks good, I will check these mirrors out.

I installed those same mirrors about 6 years ago. I posted the link to that thread here already (post #7). That thread has a link to the YouTube video I made on the installation. I used adhesive bonded fasteners so no holes, no welding, and no issues other than one mirror gimbal is loose so I need to get out and tighten it up bit.

I used similar mirrors, screwing them onto 3d printed bases containing 3 "cup" magnets, also with screws - supposedly each magnet has a 60lb. pull force. A simple rectangular mount for the 1025R & a curved shape to fit the 305 FEL tower on the 3038e.
