Mirrors for a tractor without a cab?

/ Mirrors for a tractor without a cab? #21
Hope this photo might help. On the 2210 & 2305 there are 4 bolts down below the dash. The upright attach to the 4 bolts 2 on each side and then he top bar is holding the mirrors.
This frame work goes to the Original Tractor Cab I use in the winter months.
So I just leave this part of the frame on yr around and mount my mirrors on , like someone was saying helps to see if someone is behind you when backing plus while going down the road mowing or pushing snow they do help.

Thanks! That's pretty neat! Do the mirrors vibrate much?

Very little vibration. The pipe (frame work) is out of 1/2 or 5/8" thick wall .
welded together and then the 4 tabs to bolt on to the lower part of your dash.
When winter is over I leave the part you see on the tractor Sometimes I use it instead of steering wheel to pull myself up on the tractor.

I searched out previous posts in Kubotas and found this one by mjncad Picasa Web Albums - Matt Pretty nice job and there are Jeep mirrors available at many auto parts sites. I just have to figure out how I want to mount them. Thanks again!:)

You will have a good chance to find them not covering all the areas yo want. I have factory mirrors on my cab and will be changing them out for semi truck mirrors in the near future. I will also be adding one of those "clipon passenger viewer" mirrors so that i dont have any need to turn around. the semi mirrors will get a full steal cage around them since they will find trees :( I may also add an extensa arm... so that I can have them stick out like some of the dulies with a huge goosneck trailer home do.

as for the BX 24. i see 3 posibilitys. I am assuming your cowing is fiberglass. if so you can drill to that an put metal tabs on both sides of the holes to help distribute the weight if you still want small ones. you can put them on the loader/loader risers if it has them. the 3rd option is you can make some risers that have flat plate that butts up aginst the front side of the platform so it does not interfear with the loader arms and can either bolt to the platform or to the frame below the platform. there may also be other spots on the frame there that you could attach to wether it is under the platform or inwards towards the engine.

Some one had mentioned this else where but I am also looking to stick a mirror to the fel for the front to. unless i find a cheep source on a camera ;) then it will be all video :D

Great thread.

Does anybody have any clue where to find the actual mirror glass - or maybe just a mirror mounted in a frame with a pivot on the back? And heated would be great!

I've got this idea in my head to mount mirrors in a steel "box" on the sides of my FEL uprights - and I think what I'm looking for is something like a 4"x6" or 5"x7" rectangle - but I can't seem to find a source for the mirrors themselves

Some of the mirrors shown in this thread are nice - but I'm pretty sure I'd rip them right off the next time I take the tractor into the woods so I'm looking to make something a little more protected.

in the 'help' section of some auto stores you used to be able to buy generic svm glass.

Great thread.

Try NAPA or any auto parts store.

Here are some heated ones, but they are big: Grote Industries: Mirror Products

I just put one of those round convex mirrors on the FEL mounting frame uprights. It really helps just to have a quick glance.

Conversely, if you wanted to take the loader off this won't help......but you might be able to mount some mirrors off the ROPS on long flexible arms and then bend them forward to be in your line-of-sight on each side of your head.

Looks like nice mirrors. What is the brand name and where did you buy them? Thanks
