In any case once again posts on this forum gave me another idea and motivation on what to do with an old but usable bench vice I have lying around, a few scraps of steel and either a receiver on a sxs, ATV, vehicle, or my old cheap portable Menards black Friday special welding table. Thanx.

So are you planning to use some plate to mount vise using bolts, welding a square tube off the bottom of plate to sleeve into a ever so slightly larger diameter tube welded flush to work surface and braced securely to the movable table your building? That's what I'd attempt to do if side mounting is not an option. I'd use square tubing instead of round cuz I wouldn't want the vice to rotate however putting it on castors you still might be fighting it. My 2 cents and I look forward to seeing the project completed for ideas. I think I'm making mine to slide into a receiver, I'll probably also weld a few random pieces of square tube on steel tables where a vise might come in handy occasionally.

Yes, the vice will be installed on a 2" tube and normal receiver welded into the top of the table, just like you have on you car or truck. The base will be a old truck split rim with a 6" pipe rising from that. If you make them from something round, they are quite easy to roll around.
