Looking to buy new 8000 Lb. Mini Ex.. Huge Kubota fan but the U35-3 is now the U35-4 great new cab, tons of room but they knocked about 7 inches of dig off the stick. 9'9" from 10'4".. do cemetery work where at times reaching over stones is all you can do to dig grave, and just get it done, can't afford to loose digging depth and zero swing is must. Only owned Kubota's what is truly a good machine. Is the Takeuchi FR138 any good? Machine should have float angle blade & hyd. thumb
any other brands that are actually tough, good running reliable machines?
Thanks for any help!

Look at the CAT website. Their mini-X's are great machines, even though a little pricey.

I concur with Bigfoot62. Try one. And don't forget to spec a bell bucket.

I rented a e35 bobcat for few jobs and by the specs on the machine I would have never looked at buying on but after using it I was very impressed. It had extendahoe and a thumb. 12" bucket was great 24" did good and hyd exchange was best thing on machine
