Midwest Finish Mowers Availability

I see that Tarheel Tractor is selling the Sicma FM-60 for $1,050 and the Sicma FM-72 for $1,150
Are there real differences in Sicma mowers? Seems as if the Sicma parts manuals use the same part #'s as First Choice. Maybe only the selling price is lower on other marketing labels?

If the parts are the same then a customer could get them from Darrell Harp, First Choice, WAC/IMT, V&V, & Goforth. All these companies purchase direct from Sicma and warehouse parts. What we are asking is if the part #'s are the same, what's different about the mowers?

Mark, I have a Sicma roto tiller manual in my hand and it covers the Sicma SA-ZLL-SB-CS-SF-ST-SD-SM-RM-SP-RG-RP Models--Now Lets look at the First Choice Manual-RT04-RTO6-RT10(sub to 42-50-54-58-66-74)-RT10GE(sub to 42-50-54-58-66-74)-RT12-RT14-RT18-RT22. As this indicates, it would be a shot in the dark to expect to do what you suggest--Most dealers wont go to the trouble to help with parts, if they did not sell the unit. We always give it our best shot on a match-up basis and usually can help if we have the old part here to check against--I just had a call from a fellow named Rusty in Indiana this morning and he had a Sicma roto tiller and needed a part and did not know the model # of his machine and did not have a manual (which is usually the case)--I may have had the First Choice part in stock that would cross over?--However, I was unable to provide his part and guarantee a 100% match. So he is still looking for a dealer to do a visual. BTW,Where exactly is the "Sicma" USA Parts distribution center located?-Ken Sweet

Ken,
You list on your website that you sell Sicma Tillers and Finish Mowers. Does this mean you are selling Sicma products that you do not know where to get parts support for these products?

We are closing the Sicma line for the reasons being discussed about parts availability and confusion with various models and branding--I do have (1) New weathered Orange SA 48 roto tiller and (2) Red 5 ft Finish Mowers that are being discounted for closeout. We no longer stock supports parts for these type Sicma machines.--Ken Sweet

Since the Kioti Finish mowers & Tillers are Sicma products, are you saying the Kioti Finish mowers & tillers are not the same as the First Choice? And what about Kioti parts support for Sicma products?

are you saying the Kioti Finish mowers & tillers are not the same as the First Choice?

No, I am saying that Sicma makes many models for many vendors as well as market under thier label--I would expect the First Choice and Kioti to exchange parts exactly---Howver, Not Sicma and First Choice/Kioti on all models--As I stated earlier, many of the Sicma lines are pretty elementary and First Choice or Kioti would not be interested in this low end type products--Ken Sweet

Looks like the things there similar here.
Most of the manufacturers in the farm implement field don't have their own design or research&development departments and the designs are being made outside of the factory by someone elses. Most of today's farm implement manufacturers aren't more than bigger blacksmith workshops.

That core plug aerator is a design of Midwest Equipment (ME) or of Integration Engineering (IE)? I don't remember if I have seen that curved tine in another aerator of another mfg.
