Mid PTO can be installed by dealer on cab model L6060 tractors without split.

Not so of ROPS models.

I did my Mid PTO install on my L5240 cab earlier this year and it was not hard. I used the opportunity to change the hydraulic fluid a bit early and the filters since you have to drain it. It was nothing patticularly hard to do. Toughest part was getting off the cover plate (RTV and no places to pry) and then finding the dang connector for the microswitch that they buried up under the seat. Had to pull the seal and pan to find it.

That is interesting -- I never saw a mid PTO on that large a tractor. Just assumed you could not get them above some size/model. With the L6060 being strictly HST without any stick trans offered I guess that all fits. Would be a good model for a 72" MMM for those who do a lot of that work.

I bought my tractor used and the seller had already swapped out the mid pto from my tractor L4740 to his new L6060 so the mid pto parts even interchange between the 40 and 60 series.

I don't have any front attachments that require PTO power so I don't need the mid PTO.

Yes, particularily snow blower and rotary broom.

That said, a 72" MMM is available for the GL series.
